I bought HP Pavilion dv5-1251nr in June 2009 by an American department store.
After buying the first month of my laptop was fine, but then in mid-Dec’09, I started to noise problems that still emits soft top right of the laptop (where the power cord is connected to the front of the body) when starting my laptop or running anti-virus on your hard disk.
I heard a metallic clicking noise too (which appears twice) when I turn on my laptop the power button. Once again, I still hear the noise when the cut is similar to start-ups, and there’s a sweet sound when I open or save files to / from the ‘disk. It is not even a year after purchase, and I naturally began to wonder how a quality (?) Proceeds may behave abnormally begin within months.
I contacted HP technical support (1 800 474 6836), which operates all over India (the city of Mumbai Hyderabad, Kolkata, etc. ) For the past few days, and each time a different technique, the Council will if I wanted to explain and repeat the same thing for them. Any person who has opinions different techniques to try and apply a service pack and / or problems of different options to get there sometimes more than an hour, but could not be more than if it is simple and clear, a lot of noise it is to make a purely mechanical and not on the Windows Vista operating system or driver software in its context. Some of them promised to replace the hard drive, but seemed to be extremely cautious, and whenever I request for repair several times.
More interestingly, the HP engineers in Calcutta, under one name, as if I needed a name that seems to satisfy them answered, not to expose their names to the customer!
It is not practical for engineers HP Hyderabad or Bombay!
Frustrated, I filed a complaint with the HP website ([...]) which allow customers to fill out a complaint form if there is no provision for U.S. customers (or U.S. State)! However, I entered my data clubbing all the information in various form fields. I have a number of complaint and was informed that it had been recorded and will be forwarded to the appropriate department.
However, I do not update status can be to my complaints of HP!
Unfortunately, I was not able to verify and investigate the reputation of HP – after-sales before buying a laptop. There are many complaints about products and particularly those of HP and their apathy to prompt ..some of the contributions show that to combat complaints from customers to write favorable reviews of HP employees and its products on the Internet!
I learned that a large number of complaints against HP customers in China and has been in power for HP customers and had to comply with a court order.
