Pros: Price, enough RAM for your daily work, to show runs good in a decent graphics chip for video playback, very little bloatware, good wireless connectivity, relatively cool, with good battery life, a webcam.

Cons: Said graphics chip is not enough for games. Similarly, the single-core processor a little ’slow for multitasking. Not as bad as you think, but that obviously was not designed as a machine for gaming / multimedia zippy performance.

For the money (bought mine on sale at Micro Center for $ 269), the Inspiron m5030 is a good sturdy laptop. Download Chrome, AVG and Malwarebytes, and you’re done. But keep in mind that Dell Inspiron M5030 is a budget machine (and I rate it as such). You get what you pay for. Dell will be great for surfing the Internet with 3 or 4 browser tabs open (one on YouTube or Pandora, of course), listening / storing music, a movie here and there, word processing, etc.. But if you’re going to play graphics-intensive games or video editing, while performing with a group of other programs, look elsewhere. Otherwise, you can easily spend the day. Read more reviews
