I needed a new laptop, but I did not spend more than $ 500 if I could help. Most sub-$ 500 notebook will not be equipped with multiple processors. Acer AS5742-6475 model features a dual-core processor with Hyper-I3 two threads for every heart, ie, four tasks (hyperthreading cheaper and the lack of a single task per core) when running. Until now, this computer is all that I threw it in the Treaties. For example, I’m on Ubuntu 10.10 to Oracle Virtualbox, and I can not run programs in Ubuntu and Windows at the same time without problems.
